Characteristics and Habits

印度羚羊分布於印度、巴基斯坦、孟加拉及尼泊爾，通常由一隻公羚羊率領母羚羊及幼體群體生活。公羚羊有螺旋狀的角，身體上部、側部及四肢外側為暗棕色，母羚羊為淺黃褐色，公母羚羊身體下部、四肢內側及眼周圍皆為白色。 成熟公羚羊領域性很強，以眼下腺分泌氣味來劃分範圍及吸引母羚羊。個性敏感，擅於奔跑和連續跳躍，原地可跳2公尺之高度。 The male blackbuck has long, ringed horns, and the top and sides of its body and the outsides of its legs are dark brown, which the female is light brown. Both sexes contrasts with the white fur around their eyes. The blackbucks are good at running and continuously jump. They can jump up to 2 meters high.
