Characteristics and Habits

河口鱷分布於熱帶及亞熱帶國家，是鱷魚品種中最大也是世界上最大的爬行動物，紀錄上最長可到7米。對海水的耐受性較強，又叫鹹水鱷，是鱷目中唯一頭後沒有大鱗板的鱷魚，又叫裸頸鱷。 地盤意識極高，獵食時從水中突襲，將獵物拖入水中溺斃後扭轉自己身體撕碎獵物後食用。利用腐草作巢穴，母鱷產完卵後會潛藏在四周保護蛋，直到小鱷魚孵化後才離開。 The Salt-water crocodiles can adapt to high salinity water. They are the largest reptile and have the widest distribution. The record is up to 7 meters in length. The Salt-water crocodiles are highly territoriality, they will attack all the animal that enters their territory, including humans.
