Characteristics and Habits

羊駝分布於南美祕魯、智利的高山地區，是日行性的群居動物，通常由一隻公羊駝帶領數頭母羊駝及小羊駝。 羊駝的毛具有非常強的保暖性，炎熱的夏天需要定時修剪以保持涼快。愛乾淨的羊駝會在固定的地點排泄，視覺、聽覺及嗅覺都很敏銳，奔跑時速可達55公里。性情溫馴的牠們很喜歡作沙浴保持身體乾淨。 The hair of alpaca is very good at keeping warm, and it needs to be trimmed during the summer to keep cool. Female and baby alpacas are normally led by one male. They always excrete at a regular place and take sand bath to keep themselves clean.
