孟加拉虎主要生活於印度和孟加拉，少量分布於尼泊爾、不丹和中國，是亞洲最具代表性的猛獸。除了繁殖期及育幼期，都是過著獨居生活。 公母皆具強領域性，會在樹幹或地面留爪痕，或是用尿液宣示範圍。老虎具有靈敏的聽覺、尖銳的牙齒和可伸縮的利爪，身上的條紋又有保護色，狩獵時都是悄悄接近突襲獵物，咬住喉頸讓獵物窒息，再拖至隱蔽處享用。 The tiger is the most iconic beast in Asia. It usually lives alone. Tigers have sensitive hearing, sharp teeth, and retractable claws. The stripes on tigers help camouflage them. The tigers always sneak up to their prey and bite their throats till they suffocate.
