一歲半性成熟。繁殖期大多出現於九至十一月份。懷孕期154~161天，每胎產一至二仔，體重約4.5公斤。

Characteristics and Habits

北非髯羊分布在摩洛哥、撒哈拉西部到蘇丹及埃及，又叫大角羊。公母都有角，從脖子到前腿有長而柔軟的鬃毛。日行性群居動物，群體中地位最高者通常是公羊，但實際帶領群體行動的則是母羊。毛色與岩石相近，不易被敵人發覺。 從剛出生的寶寶到成羊都是飛簷走壁高手。公羊打鬥時會以角互撞，只要有一方避開，戰爭立刻結束，繁殖期間公羊打鬥很頻繁。 A pair of big horns is the characteristic of the Barbary sheep. Both males and females have them. It can easily walk on near vertical rock walls, and stays calm when facing danger. Living in dry areas, it obtains water from plants and dew. The color of Barbary Sheep is similar to the color of the rocks, so they are not easily found by predators.
